2020 Aston Martin Vantage Diavolo Red! 2D Coupe Details
With such a beautiful design in both the coupe and roadster convertible, one could be forgiven for thinking the new Vantage is all show and no go, but that assumption would be wrong. The Aston Martin Vantage is powered by a 4.0L V8 supplied by Mercedes-AMG engine fed by twin turbochargers. This combination is enough to make 503 horsepower which is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. This 8-speed is ultra-responsive and can be shifted via paddles behind the steering wheel. With this combination, Aston Martin claims a 0-60 time of just 3.5 seconds for the new 2020 Vantage, making it a truly supercar fast.
Like many high-end manufacturers, Aston Martin offers a few separate trim models for the Vantage. The Coupe, Roadster and the new 7-speed manual, track-ready AMR edition. Each model comes with a beautiful interior featuring acres of Strathmore leather and Alcantara, a black leather steering wheel with optional carbon fiber, dual-zone climate control, keyless start/stop, memory seats, Bluetooth and an 8-inch LCD screen to house the navigation system.
Optional distinctive interior features include more aggressive sport seats, Caithness or Balmoral leather trimming, an embroidered headrest, heated and ventilated seats, a park assist system, a 360-degree camera system, a premium audio system, a first aid kit and even an umbrella holder.
Outside styling, the Vantage comes on standard 20-inch wheels front and back, shod in sticky Pirelli P Zero tires. Optionally, buyers can add an exterior graphics pack, a rear diffuser in a variety of finishes, a choice of several grille colors, carbon fiber door handles, a variety of color options for the huge brake calipers, matte black exhaust tips, adaptive dampers and a carbon fiber engine cover among other things available in both the Coupe and Roadster model. In addition to all those great features the Track-ready AMR include racing inspired carbon-ceramic brakes.
Several option packages are available, including a tech collection package that adds an interior touchpad, switches made of glass for the interior, the park assist system and a blind spot monitoring system. A comfort collection package adds heated seats that adjust in 16 different ways and a Sports Plus collection that adds sport steering and seating.
Powerful Turbocharged Engine
The Vantage retains its aggressive styling and redesign from 2019 in the 2020 model. It also remains the smallest and most fiercely extroverted car in their lineup, with a driving experience that is sportier than anything else offered by Aston Martin.
The Aston Martin Vantage is in competition with several higher end Porsche 911 models, most notably the 911 GT3, though it does still start at less than a 911 Turbo. However, it takes a sharp eye to distinguish those higher end Porsche 911s from their less expensive siblings, meaning that for the vast majority of people, the Aston will look far more unique and rarer. If turning heads is the goal, the Vantage is nearly unmatched in this price range, with the Lamborghini Huracan costing much more than even the Porsche 911 Turbo. In addition to its rarity, the Aston Martin Vantage is just flat-out good-looking. The last generation was a tough act to follow as it was already one of the best-looking cars on the road. Aston have not disappointed with the redesign, as the new car is simply stunning to look at.
