Model Overview
The Lexus LS is powered by one of two engines, a twin-turbo V6 displacing 3.5 liters that makes 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 3.5L V6 hybrid engine that produces 354 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque that is mated to a CVT-automatic transmission.

The LS 500 has no trims, the Base LS 500 offers packages that cater to different owner wishes and driving needs with a choice of Luxury, Executive, Executive with Kiriko Glass, and F Sport. The gas engine is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive and the hybrid drivetrain has only all-wheel drive.

The LS 500 comes with plenty of equipment as standard including 19-inch aluminum wheels, triple projector LED headlights with cornering lights, keyless entry and ignition, hands-free trunk, power rear sunshade, power closing doors, power moonroof, dual-zone climate control with built-in smog sensor, navigation system displayed on 12.3-inch display, park assist system, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, electronically dimming inside and outside mirrors and tons more. The LS 500 is full of safety technology including forward collision with automated braking and pedestrian detection, rear collision mitigation, left-turn intersection assistance, adaptive cruise control with traffic stop and go, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition, and enhanced lane tracing.
The Luxury package adds rear seat armrest 7-inch touch controller, remote adjustment for passenger, power side window sunshades, 28-way power adjustable front seats with massage function, 18-way adjusting and reclining rear seat with memory, wood and leather center console trims, rear seat cushion airbags, Ultrasuede headliner, and power front seatbelt buckles.

The Executive package further enhances the luxury with butterfly power retractable headrests, right side rear power recliner with Ottoman and Shiatsu massager, and perforated leather interior.

The Executive with Kiriko Glass adds to the previous package Japanese craftsmanship by displaying traditional Kiriko glass details on the doors and hand pleated leather panels, remote adjustment for passenger front seat, and 22-way power seats with butterfly headrests.

Springing for the F Sport package, it does enhance the base model with 20-inch gray aluminum wheels, bigger brakes, an LFA-inspired digital instrument panel, perforated leather and aluminum trimming throughout the cabin, 16-way power operated front sport bucket seats with embossed headrests, aluminum pedals, sport tuned adaptive suspension, active anti-roll bars, rear-wheel steering, black suede headliner and a passenger seat power cushion extender.

The Hybrid comes with standard equipment like adaptive air suspension with height adjust levels, power moonroof, auto-dimming mirrors, projector LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, 16-way power front seats with massaging, power reclining rear bench seats with cushion extension for outer passengers, rear seat armrest 7-inch touch controller, suede headliner, four-zone automatic climate control, 23-speaker Mark Levison surround sound, voice activated navigation, Advanced cruise control with traffic stop and go and lane change (Teammate), Panoramic view monitor, self-parking system, Leather wrapped heated steering wheel with premium wood trim, and power rear sun blinds.

Other packages and individual options available are the Interior Upgrade, Cold Weather, Lexus Safety System A+, Dynamic Handling (only with RWD F Sport), Panorama Glass Roof, 24-inch head-up display, Mark Levinson 23-speaker 2400-watt Quantum Logic premium sound, Leather wrapped heated steering wheel with premium wood trim, Panoramic view monitor, Digital rearview monitor, and Haku door trim.
