The 2020 Ferrari 488 brings extreme performance to the supercar world and everything you would expect from a Ferrari. The 488 is powered by a turbocharged 3.9L V8 making 711 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 567 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ferrari's Variable Torque Management system helps the 488 accelerate to 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds, providing increasing torque as drivers shift up through the gears.
For 2020, the 488 Pista is available in a coupe or Spider convertible. With the power and speed the vehicle can produce, Ferrari has designed the body in a way to produce massive down-force to keep the driver in control at high speeds. Additionally, much of the body design has been created to maximize airflow for cooling, as well as enhance aerodynamics. Ferrari's Slide Slip Control System, active suspension dampening controls and an electronic differential work together to provide the driver with the capability of safely applying race-car handling capability wherever the driver goes.
As expected, the 488 is equipped with many standard features. The exterior features 20-inch wheels, performance tires, a wing spoiler, automatic headlights, and LED brake lights. The handcrafted interior features leather seats, leather interior trim, aluminum interior accents, leather and carbon fiber steering wheel, keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, integrated navigation system and 6-speaker audio system with Apple CarPlay. A highlight of the interior is the formula-one-inspired steering wheel, which acts like a driver's control center, with buttons for the engine start, driving modes, wipers, blinkers and more.
Options available for the 488 are nearly endless. A long list of exterior paint colors and interior colors are available, in addition to a variety of racing seat options. A host of carbon fiber options are also available, including a carbon fiber wing, rear diffuser, engine cover, door trim and a variety of interior trim options. Additional options can include wheel design, brake caliper color, titanium exhaust pipes, racing livery or 4-point safety harness. With all the available options, buyers can personalize the 488 to exactly what they desire.
