Model Overview
The DBS is powered by a 5.2L V12 engine aided by two turbochargers. 715 horsepower is then sent to the rear axle via an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Performance is staggering with 0-60 mph coming in the mid 3-second range. Top speed is 211 mph for either the coupe or the convertible. But simply quoting numbers doesn't do this engine justice, it's both incredibly smooth and incredibly torquey with huge reserves of power even low in the rev range. And while there are several less expensive and lighter vehicles that can match the Aston Martin DBS on 0-60 times, few things on the road can keep with the DBS as speeds rise. Aston Martin claims the DBS can go from 50 mph to 100 mph in just 4.2 seconds, all while in fourth gear.

Though it is based heavily on the DB11 grand tourer, the DBS cranks everything up another notch or two. The DBS is far faster and more hardcore than the DB11 with far more aggressive aerodynamics and a more powerful version of its turbocharged V12. The car also makes extensive use of lightweight materials to keep weight down as much as possible, though being an Aston Martin still means always providing a high level of comfort and luxury for anyone lucky enough to be seated in the DBS.

Doing double duty as a supercar and a luxury car means that the Aston Martin DBS is loaded with goodies. Standard features include a Caithness leather and Alcantara lined cockpit with darkened chrome interior highlights, beautifully designed heated seats with DBS logos embroidered into the headrest and a memory function, a touchpad to control an 8-inch LCD screen, Bluetooth audio streaming, satellite navigation, a 360-degree camera, parking distance display and a park assist system, keyless entry and 21-inch forged wheels.

Optional items are of course extensive, including a range of colors for various exterior details, including the roof panel, a full titanium exhaust system, several different wheels styles, dyed, open pore tamo ash inserts around the dashboard, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, ventilated seats and a garage door opener.

For 2023, the Aston Martin DBS carries over with minimal changes while a new 770 Ultimate and 770 Ultimate Volante model have been added.
Model Value
The DBS competes with exotic supercars and ultra-luxury cars alike, providing a nice middle ground between sporting pretensions and luxury among high end automobiles. Its most direct competitor is probably the Ferrari 812 Superfast, which costs a bit more, but like the DBS, offers a front mounted V12 engine making huge amounts of power. However, the 812 Superfast is a much more high-strung automobile, and though it is still fairly luxurious, it isn't as comfortable as a DBS. And while the DBS can be had as a coupe or a convertible, there is no drop top option on the Ferrari. On the other hand, cars from manufacturers like Bentley and Rolls-Royce tend to be significantly less sporty and extroverted than the DBS, providing fewer thrills to drivers while featuring less exotic styling.
